And the Winner is ...
Right before the new 2016-17 Football season starts in leagues across Europe, UEFA published their shortlist with the final 10 nominees for the Best player in the world title for 2015/2016 season. The list was done by journalists from each of UEFA's 55 member associations. The list includes: Gareth Bale from Wales/Real Madrid, Gianluigi Buffon (Italy/Juventus), Antoine Griezmann (France/Atletico Madrid), Toni Kroos (Germany/Real Madrid), Lionel Messi (Argentina/FC Barcelona), Thomas Muller (Germany/Bayern Munich), Manuel Neuer (Germany/Bayern Munich), Pepe (Portugal/Real Madrid), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Real Madrid) & Luis Suarez (Uruguay/FC Barcelona). The list will narrow down to 3 names on August 5th and the winner will be revealed during August 25th at the Champions League group stage draw at Monaco.

Speaking about 2015/16, according to statistics from "sports goods distributors Kitbag" and "SportsDirect", the player that sold the most shirts in last season was.. FC Barcelona's Lionel Messi (no surprise here). 2nd on this list is Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and the big surprise came in 3rd place with Manchester United young star – Anthony Martial. Following at 4th is teammate German Bastian Schweinsteiger, Eden Hazard (5th), Wayne Rooney (6th), Neymar (7th), Sergio Aguero (8th), Alexis Sanchez (9th) & Phillippe Coutinho (10th).
